VIENNA SHORTS is a qualifying festival for the Academy Awards® (Oscars), the European Film Awards, the British BAFTA Awards and the Austrian Film Awards. Every year we award prize money in the amount of more than EUR 30,000.

We ask you to send us a screener first. The screener is a copy of the film we will be using during the selection process. The most practical way is to have a screener online until the end of April (password protected or not, both are allowed). When your film is selected for the festival we will ask you to send us two master copies: one copy we will use for projecting your film on the big screen, one we will use for the video library and/or a potential online presentation.
